Fellow

Kailyn Price is a neuroscience PhD candidate at George Washington University in the lab of Dr. Abigail Polter, where she studies stress- induced neurobiological changes linking stress coping strategies and avoidance behavior. Kailyn received a B.S. in biology from NC A&T State University, where she studied undergraduate course- based participatory research programs in the lab of Dr. Kelsie Bernot and co- founded the speech and debate team. Her work within and outside of the lab informs her interest in neuroethical challenges faced by basic neuroscience research, including the interpretation of research surrounding stress, maternal care, racism, and sex differences that seeks to advance knowledge and treatment of brain and psychiatric conditions.
