Emmanuel Mensah

Emmanuel Mensah, MD, MPH is a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Neurosurgical Equitable Wellness (NEW) Lab at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and an incoming postdoctoral research fellow at the MGH and the Neurotech Justice Accelerator at Mass General Brigham (NJAM), a Dana Center Initiative for Neuroscience & Society. His research spans cerebrovascular disease, spine surgery, and global neurosurgery, with a focus on patient-centered care, innovation, and access. A graduate of the University of Cambridge and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Dr. Mensah has conducted research and fieldwork across the U.S., U.K., and Zambia, including on early detection tools for pediatric hydrocephalus and spina bifida. He is the recipient of the 2024 Rose Service-Learning Fellowship for public health research and the Medtronic Fellowship in Neurovascular Therapies. He also leads educational platforms with global reach, combining clinical insight and creative science communication. Dr. Mensah is passionate about bridging equity, education, and innovation at the intersection of neuroscience and society.
